２０２６　Omotesenke Day　表千家同門会北加支部の日

On June 14th we held a tea gathering celebrating our second “Omtesenke Day.

The theme of the gathering was “Ocean”.　We began by offering a bowl of tea in loving memory of the teachers who dedicated themselves to establishing the Omotesenke Domonkai Northern California Region.

Afterward the guests were welcomed to Koicha in the small tearoom and Usucha in the large tearoom. We were delighted to celebrate the living tradition of Omotesenke Way of Tea not only with our members but also with guests from the wider community who joined us for the occasion.

６月１４日に、第二回「表千家の日」記念茶会を観桑庵で催しました。太平洋を渡りアメリカに伝えられた表千家茶道をお祝いして、今年のお茶会のテーマは「海」。

はじめに、北加支部の設立にご尽力くださいました諸先生方を偲びお茶湯を執り行い、参加者一同、先生方への深い感謝と敬愛の気持ちをお伝えいたしました。その後、小間では濃茶、広間では薄茶の席を設けさせていただき、皆様と共に、北カリフォルニアの地で受け継がれてた表千家茶道の伝統をお祝いいたしました。
